Three Recent Publications! November 2024: 'Irish Jewish Theatre's West Cork Connection' in the Southern Star newspaper December 2024: 'Irish Jewish Music in Cork - notes and phrases from my research and practice' in SPÉIS, the journal of International Council of Traditions of Music and Dance, Ireland December 2024: 'Cork Jewish Community - beginnings' in the Journal of the Federation of Local History Societies Der Veg Abhaile - The Way Home Exhibition in Vilnius Organised by JACI (Jewish Arts and Culture Ireland) Der Veg Abhaile - The Way Home, "Tracing the past, Creating the present, an Irish Jewish Journey" is now up and running at the Samuel Bak Museum of the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History in Vilnius. The exhibition launch on 12th of December included the premiere screening of the film Der Veg Abhaile by Hannah Bloom. Exhibition runs until 20th March. The Cork section, shown here, includes my documentary Cork Jewish Culture Virtual Walk. It is just a tiny part of a much larger exhibition, featuring poetry, film, art, music and story by a plethora of Irish creatives. Concerts/Events This autumn I've organised/played in a lot of concerts! including Cross Culture events in Crosshaven, jazz gigs at Cork Jazz Festival, student concerts with Cork City Music College, and Fresh Air Collective gigs in the Crawford Gallery The Irish Klezmer Suite The Irish Klezmer Suite is a series of seven klezmer-inspired pieces with elements of Irish trad, jazz, classical and dub reggae grooves, composed for small ensemble.
